Size 125 x 77 x 3cm - the painting has a temporary frame with carved detail which it has previously been exhibited in.
Mary, the artist's mother, was a hippy, trippy chic of the 1960s. She became pregnant out of wedlock and was sent to a mother and baby home, where her child was taken from her and given away. Mary's experience inspired the artist to create the painting "Mother Mary" and the subsequent series of paintings called "A Mother's Ruin."
