Sara Jane Boyle's oil painting, Hope, is a triptych that portrays the story of female bonds. In the three paintings, Boyle paints many generations of females in all their glory, depicting their strength and maternal love for one another. This powerful painting demonstrates the tenacity of women and the beauty of the world they live in.

There are notes of spring that set the scene to symbolize rebirth and new beginnings. In the two end paintings, the sun and moon are reflected in each other and the fish swim out of water. This suggests the invisible oceans of the emotional realms that these women transcend in, the push and pull of tides and the ties women have towards earth and nature. The second painting shows a bird looking down at her nestling eggs, and a little girl looking up in wonder. The centre painting shows a mother in labour, with her mother to the side watching over, in a strong and bold stance, inherent with wisdom that has been passed down and passed on, keeping the female linage of this intuitive knowledge alive.

Boyle's signature use of vibrant colours pops out of the painting, exuding warmth and a glowing sense of female camaraderie. This painting is a powerful testament to the strength and resilience of women, and the bonds that unite them.
