This oil painting seeks to capture that quiet moment between a mother and her baby while breast feeding. I set out to paint a peaceful image of warmth and tranquillity, capturing that meditative state between the two where an unconscious yet instinctive state of giving and receiving is being shared. Both content being in their own worlds separately, yet as one together, the baby gently feeds as his mother pensively looks off into the distance in a meditative state, both are enjoying the peace and quiet the moment brings.
